The term Nutritionist is a broad term and can include anyone who has completed a Mickey Mouse certificate for £29 on Groupon, all the way through to someone who has had PhD training! Dietician IS a protected title and will have involved the individual completing a 4 year degree and will normally train to be a specialist in a specific area – e.g. pediatric nutrition. Registered dietitians (RD) may also work helping those with medical conditions like diabetes by prescribing a special diet and will work in hospitals or other clinical settings.
As a Nutritionist I will not diagnose any health problems or provide you with any prescriptive dietary recommendations. What I will do is use the precise training I have undergone to help people just like you. I did receive some training on Nutrition as a Personal Trainer, but the bulk of my knowledge has been by studying a 12 month nutrition evidence based course with Mac Nutrition University. I now have a strong foundation of science backed knowledge that can help those wishing to lose weight, increase performance and improve health.
No I don’t think so! I take you through a gradual process where we learn about nutrition at the same time as making improvements to your diet. I am understanding, firm but fair and will employ a tough love approach if necessary. I have worked with so many different personalities over the years, but don’t take my word for it! Take a look at the Success Stories page so see what some of my clients have got to say.
I have a variety of packages and plans to suit all budgets. During our call we can talk about the different programmes available and which one would suit you best.
I specialise in working with women who are feeling frustrated that they’re not where they should be. Often successful in their careers and families, they are ready to make some improvements that will help them feel good about themselves. For some, this may involve an element of weight loss. For others a change in body shape and composition, or an increase in energy and overall better health. Take a look at the Gold and Platinum programmes to see which messages resonate best with you.
For this to work, we need to have a level of commitment and accountability. I will help you with this and provide a firm but fair approach, guiding you all of the way. It’s ok if you are struggling at the moment with willpower and are frustrated with your situation, this is an important part of the process we go through.
This isn’t a diet! I am going to be teaching you how to eat properly, from busting nutrition myths to clever little tricks and how to eat for your goals. By learning how to put a balanced diet together, you’ll be able to include chocolate, wine, G&Ts, cheese, bread – whatever your favourite foods are. Armed with knowledge, my 1-2-1 support and a wonderful community you will have everything you need.
No! Your kidneys and liver do a fantastic job of detoxing the substances we don’t need. If they are not functioning correctly then you should see your Doctor as the medical detox is very different to the term most commonly used these days. https://www.theguardian.com/lifeandstyle/2014/dec/05/detox-myth-health-diet-science-ignorance
Joking aside, doing a detox really is completely unnecessary. If you feel that you need to overhaul your system or would like to lose weight, the best way is to look at what you’re eating and start making changes there.
No, it’s not like Slimming World either! I promote a way of eating that is inclusive rather than restrictive. However, you will find that where I agree with SW and WW is the importance of community. Of a group of women all supporting each other in a non judgemental environment. If you’ve tried either of those groups before and you’ve decided that you need a different approach, or if you would rather run a mile- please get in touch with me so I can explain more!
If you weren’t a little nervous and excited I would be worried! I do require a level of commitment and so I don’t do trials. However if you decide that this is not for you, I do have a 30 day 100% no quibble refund policy.
The more of the teaching you apply to your way of living the faster you will start to see changes. Improvements in energy, less stress around cooking, not having to rely on willpower alone just to resist daily temptations. Your waistline may also reduce and for many ladies this is a big source of motivation! However, this is not a quick fix detox! You are here because you know diets don’t work and this way of LEARNING means that you will be able to put into place tricks and tips that will see you eating healthily for life (and being able to include wine, cheese, chocolate) by understanding how to eat and cook a balanced diet.
Most people are time poor and many ladies are worried about this and the time commitment expected of them. I won’t expect you to spend hours in the kitchen each day or you to drive miles and miles to the nearest organic farm food shop. What I DO expect is for you to read the content I send out, complete the homework and do the actions. I do allow time during the week for you to catch up should you get behind, and you will always have the content that I send out to refer to at any time.
No! This is perfect if you have a zero understanding of nutrition. I’ve also worked with many ladies who would describe their level of knowledge as quite good – but are struggling to apply it to their own lives in a practical sense.
I have a phone call with everyone before we begin. During this call, we get to know one another a little better and I can get an understanding of your individual situation and needs.
Because I don’t give you a prescriptive list of meals you must follow, we can work together as long as you have internet access. For some, being away gives them time to read and digest the information whilst in a low stress environment. For others, they are happier waiting for the next intake. If you’d like to chat through this just let me know and I’ll give you a call to discuss.
This is all about learning how you can enjoy food again, not only through eating but shopping and preparing – working around busy lifestyles, careers and families. I don’t want you to be miserable because your tummy is rumbling all day long! I will teach you how to use food to your advantage, making better choices that allow you to reduce calorie consumption without reducing the volume of food that you eat.
Fantastic! I’m so happy to have you on board – please book yourself in straight away for our first call and we can get you started.
I will always suggest that you use nutrition to help to avoid any deficiencies in your diet. However there are some occasions when it may be appropriate to use supplements or take vitamin tablets and we will talk about this in more detail should you feel it’s important for you.
It’s completely up to you, the more changes you make (e.g reducing alcohol intake, giving up smoking and more exercise) will mean that you reach your goals more quickly. However, it can be very difficult to make many changes all at the same time and the important thing is to ensure that the developments you make are there for good. We will talk more about your current situation and can decide together what is right for you.

I also incorporate awareness of mindset and habit changing as these are crucial to setting up new patterns of behaviour successfully. .
